As a grandmother (Nana) to 6 -- ranging in age from almost 11 to just a little over 15 months old -- I can't wait to read The Courageous Heart to them. It is such an enchanting story about a life changing adventure that Kai, a grasshopper, embarks on - despite being told by others that he didn't belong or wouldn't succeed. The prose is written for all ages & the illustrations are museum quality colored pencil, with layers of detailing. This story is a beautiful example of the human spirit - that when we believe that we can succeed, and with the help of both friends & strangers, anything is possible.
