Have YOU Met Kai?

This is what our book is all about. What a serendipity.

A young man did a double take when he spotted the poster at our booth that read, “Have You Met Kai?” 

Grinning wide, he strolled over and asked, “Mind if I snap a photo of that?”

"Sure," I replied. Then added "Are you a local?"

We ended up having a great conversation about life in Huntington Beach and how he'd moved here from another state, but now considers himself a local. I love talking to people about their journeys.

Before he left, I asked why he wanted a photo of the banner.

He grinned again. "My name is Kai."

Then he scribbled a comment on our mailing list sign-up sheet: “Can you ever truly meet yourself?”

Absolutely, I thought. That is what our book is about. For Kai's everywhere. For all of us.

Because deep down we all want to meet ourselves -- just the way we are.
